Protecting the Signal: From Volume to Value in Catalyst Fund15 🛡️

Hello beautiful soul,

Happy New Year from all of us at Catalyst Team.

Stoping by to quickly give you an update. A month ago, I shared here that @Cardano community at large has wished us to fix the noise as one of the long standing desired improvements in @Catalyst_onX.

We promised to shift the focus from Quantity :right_arrow: Quality.

You spoke, and as a program, we listened and acted.

On Nov 27, we saw the first win: submissions dropped from 1,643 (F14) to 761 (F15). This wasn’t accidental, this was intentional evolution of program.

Today, we take the next step in that story. Together.

We wrote a brief article about it all here. So make sure to check it out as it includes the Voting Ballot CSV file as well.

Meanwhile, get ready to start your voting engines next week. We’ll drop another update once the voting stage formally opens so you won’t miss a beat with all the important information.

Kindly,

Danny Ribar
Head of Community Operations (let’s connect on X; LinkedIn)

From 761 reviewed projects, only 509 are eligible for voting stage?
Project Catalyst has clearly reached a new level, where the Cardano community now decides which projects should move forward to the voting stage.

I once suggested that reviewer ratings should influence which projects advance. While it’s not fully implemented, the current system now filters out projects after the review phase.

From my point of view, I think this helps prevent submissions with shallow explanations, unrealistic budgets, low Cardano impact, or wrong categories from advancing just because they appeal to voters.

I’m really proud and happy to be part of the Project Catalyst ecosystem, and I encourage it to keep improving in this true decentralized governance.

Good job to the Catalyst team and the whole ecosystem.
