(Public) March 2026: Yaci Store 2.0, and Scalable Developer Infrastructure

Hello everyone! :sports_medal:

Our March 2026 Monthly Call was one of our most technical sessions yet. With the deployment of tools designed by and for the community, alongside a deep dive into Cardano data infrastructure, we are amplifing the operational foundation of Cardano.

Here are the key highlights from our meeting:

1. Ambassador Tooling MVP: On-chain Reputation and Impact

Felix Weber, Hinson Wong, and Darlington Wleh presented the MVP version of the Ambassador Tools. This initiative aims to move ambassador operations and reputation directly onto Cardano’s on-chain layers.

  • Ambassador Registry: Utilizing CIP-68 tokens (in partnership with Andamio) to create permanent contribution records.
  • Community Proposals: A public interface where Ambassadors can propose initiatives. This allows the community to donate directly to the Ambassador pool, similar to a decentralized Impact Pot.
  • Extreme Efficiency: Built with a lightweight architecture (L1 data and local databases), the maintenance cost is less than $1 per month. This proves that decentralization can be highly cost-effective.
  • Next Steps: A Mainnet launch is planned for April, featuring live proposals during our next monthly call.

2. Yaci Store 2.0: The Evolution of Cardano Indexing

Mateusz Czeladka, Software Architect at the Cardano Foundation, provided a masterclass on Yaci Store 2.0. This tool has evolved beyond a simple indexer into a modular, high-performance platform for developers.

  • Modularity and Flexibility: Unlike rigid systems, Yaci allows developers to toggle specific modules (UTXO, Governance, Metadata) to optimize resource usage.
  • Enterprise Ready: It currently powers enterprise-grade solutions for top-tier exchanges like Coinbase and Binance through its Rosetta implementation.
  • Extensibility: Although built in Java, the framework supports plugins written in JavaScript and Python, making it accessible to a much broader developer base.
  • Future Vision: New integrations were announced for Dune Analytics (via Parquet files) and a “Smart Transaction Submission” system that automatically handles rollbacks to ensure seamless network interaction.

3. Community News and Administration

  • New Members: We are excited to welcome Diego Mac, a long-time community contributor, who now formally joins the program representing TX Pipe.
  • Developer Office Hours: A reminder that live technical sessions are held every Friday. These are excellent resources for ambassadors to point local developers toward so they can connect with core Cardano builders.
  • Cardano.org Collaboration: We noted the ongoing progress in multi-language support (Spanish, German, Japanese) via Crowdin, which is significantly improving the global accessibility of our main portal.
