Statement from a few members of the Guardians of Cardano

This is not the failure of Charles, it’s our failure as a Team.

How could he have known this?

He never knew anything about us and our issues.

Hate us for this, but I don’t think you should bring him into this context.

I agree with the rest you said.

I think that Guardians did a wonderful job in the Parsons case and I am truly grateful for that. However, I think its for the best if this era is over since it seems to me to be a one-time movement.

You are, really, just spoiling your public image with this open discussion and I don’t think I would put any more trust in you in the future after reading this pathetic showcase of egos. This whole thread makes me feel the same way as local politics in my country

I fully agree with you Frocco. There’s no winner in a mudslinging. The worst of all this is that in the future people may be discouraged from helping the community because they are afraid of being exposed and bashed in public.
Therefore please everyone stop this. If you meet in real sometime, go drink a beer togther and try to find a solution how you can separate with a shake-hands at the end.

Exactly as you say politics and a disagreement on governance.

Long story short.

Group A and Group B couldn’t agree on the questions in the description of this topic.

Group B claims that with “democratic” votes based on headcount they will decide and lead the direction.

I couldn’t accept that this is as a fair governance model considering the efforts (%) and argued with Group B and provided alternative Governace methods to consider.

There was a case when I suggested then if we go with this “democratic” headcount based votes then let’s make them at least transparent to the public / Community so the different opinions are visible and Group A might show it’s own identity and opinion. There was strong opposition for such polls from Group B …

At some point (a week ago) Group B kicked me out of the TG Group (shutting down the communication lines), where all discussion was going on and started systematically discredit me, ended up in a character killing episode.

Yes this was politics as you say and ended up badly. I am originated from Hungary so this didn’t catch me by surprise.

This topic was originally created to announce the split of Group B and Group A.

I have nothing more to say. This was my last post on this thread irrespective of personal attacks follow.

Bert, please stop it. You don’t make it any better this way.

Yes this should stop!

But people will base opinions on what’s already been said, and that worries me. IMO people should either

  • Read everything very carefully, “between the lines”, looking for implausibilities and inconsistencies and the stylistic quirks that can indicate character, or

  • Assume it’s just an unfortunate mess, due to personality conflicts, with nobody in particular to blame, no actual “bad guys” at all.

Anything between these two extremes is likely IMO to lead to false impressions and prejudice against one or more of those who participated in what was really, considering the result, a great campaign.

It’s the failure of Charles too when he decided with ingenuity to talk openly about a group he knows so little …

I wouldn’t name him if it wasn’t because he did an AMA and talks about the guardians openly

His position doesn’t allow him to do this things, this a business too, even if cardano were just about research and education, it’s not advisable for him to talk…

So when he doesn’t know it better to be quit, also it’s dealing with humans, it’s amazingly obvious this will be output

More reasons to focus more on cardano instead of something he ignored

I don’t hate you, it just very sad that none of you people saw this coming
Which make me think
How no one of all of you had some sense to chill and f&£@ing THINK before creating all this mess

How is that ?
CF still a very amazingly big question mark, at least back then we knew who is responsible

I like at least the fact you want it public, thank you!

Now why do you think ( the 2 groups of guardians ) you care more about cardano than me for example ? How you measure that ?

And how it’s possible that you ( the 2 groups of guardians ) think you are untitled with right to decide for everybody ?

Now is th first time I know who you all are ( thanks again )

90% of the people ( guardians ) are the embassadors programs … common guys :joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

You couldn’t ( guardians ) doing it worse …:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap: to all of you

Brains :brain: wanted in cardano ASAP

This is embarrassing to watch. The crypto community remains unbelievably immature and it turns out Cardano isn’t the exception…

Nobody suggested that.

Nobody said that either.

You haven’t been paying attention, the names were on the open letters.

The suggestion that it’s not in a much, much better place than it was before is utterly ridiculous. The funds have been secured and:

Ok, faire enough
Please, just want to understand better

So why you took this decision if has the potencial to affect everybody else in this ecosystem?
Is it your criteria better structured?
Your knowledge ?

What push you to do that ?

Maybe I would understand better if you all say, ok we want to gain money with cardano
To be be considered as specialist, then to gain power as a group “ the guardians “ and of course monetisation of everything you do

  • as specialist in delegation schemes
  • as stake pool
  • as voters/group in treasury ( here I can be way creative )
  • as donations
  • as embassadors
… just stated the obvious way to gain money with cardano

Of course none of you would say that openly but deep inside I know for fact how humans are, I m ok with that but masking everything this way is truly sign of lack of character.

Yes, indeed I wasn’t paying attention about all this nonsense.

OK, I’m out.

Please!
What you “gained” is allocation of new funds, human capital from two entities that should care about other things to “fix” this situation

Now, it’s fixed ?

I will give you “ guardians “ 6 to 12 months and none would be done just the prejudice that already has IOHK and EMURGO

To whom was part of this, as I don’t judge any of you …
I m judging the collective formed under the guardians

Sorry, my English is not accurate enough, though I made it cleare

You seem to have no idea what has gone and is going on. That’s all.

Enlighten me please …

What I know is the guardians are fragmented, can’t reach consensus between handful of people ( that alone is impressive as result )

Yes parsons step down, some people from IOHK and EMURGO took place to stabilise the situation to next start over again with permanent board

I m wrong ?
Please tell me what did you achieved that you are so proud ?
I really want to know
