Towards Cardano Africa Tech Summit 2026: Hackathon Preparation Sessions Continue

I am delighted to have participated in today’s WADA Weekly Call, a session that went beyond hackathon information to also share updates on Project Catalyst and Intersect.

The PRISM team led the session, clearly explaining the various hackathon processes, the use of different tools including PRISM documentation, and a Telegram bot that each Hub will integrate into their group to register the key participants and instructors of the hackathon.

As a reminder, the hackathon I mentioned above is a preparation stage for five teams that will present their projects at the main summit in Kenya in February 2026. Before that, over five African countries have already registered Hubs.
In the Democratic Republic of Congo, we have the Goma and Nyiragongo Hubs participating, with eight teams in total, each composed of at least five members working on their respective projects.

The projects chosen are all rooted in local challenges observed in Goma or elsewhere in the DRC, and each aims to leverage the Cardano blockchain to provide real solutions.

I believe this is the path through which Cardano will be applied to real-world community challenges, positioning it as a blockchain with unparalleled practical impact globally.
