In Goma and Nyiragongo, the Cardano story continues to grow, one young builder, one local idea at a time. ![]()
This October, our hub officially joined the Cardano Africa Tech Summit (CATS) Hackathon 2025 journey, a continent-wide initiative connecting regional builders across Africa to co-create solutions powered by Cardano.
CATS isn’t just another hackathon. It’s a movement, a way of grounding blockchain innovation in the real experiences of African communities. From Ghana to Nigeria, Kenya to the DR Congo, teams are exploring how decentralized technologies can solve the challenges they face every day.
Here in Goma, we’re forming 8 local teams, each working on a project born from their own environment, addressing real needs in education, finance, and community development using Cardano’s open infrastructure. Through this process, we’re not just coding, we’re learning, experimenting, and reconnecting technology to purpose.
This journey leads to Nairobi in February 2026, where the top projects from across the continent will be showcased during the Cardano Africa Tech Summit.
For us, it’s more than an event, it’s a step toward making sure Africa is not just a participant in Cardano’s story, but a co-author.
As we move forward, we’ll keep sharing our progress, lessons, and insights, showing what it looks like when local innovation meets global collaboration.
Let’s keep building, from place, for purpose. ![]()
