I think it’s “crazy” that the press release above characterises a “cash back on purchases” programme as “passive income” — but otherwise the partnership is real:

Yep, cash back programs are usually not that impressive. After all, they have to be financed from the overhead of whatever is really sold. I’d usually do them if it doesn’t hurt, but won’t change shop, product, or payment provider for them.
