I’ve been watching Cardano trading tools only from a distance for the last 3 years and I was under the impression they’d evolved into something solid & usable. But on first look in a long time I can’t see how to use them practically & I hope those who’ve been keeping up with it can help me get started with these:
1 - TapTools looks like it has the best visualisations and it points to the aggregator DexHunter but I can’t see how either of them might support “alerts” (email would be ideal) when a tracked asset (e.g. WMTX) reaches a set target price in USD or ADA. It would also suit many traders, I would think, to do this for any pair of Cardano native tokens.
Since there’s such complete coverage of Cardano tokens in these places, I thought we would be better off getting alerts though a specialist Cardano DEX rather than generic sites like CoinGecko or software like Superalgos. I would be open to whatever does the job best at a free tier suitable for an infrequent user with a mainly academic interest & would love to find a link about how this might work: maybe through one of the APIs offered by the Cardano specialists.
2 - My main preoccupation when I thought about trading 3 years ago was trying (and failing) to find something that would provide charts — and also alerts — between 2 cryptocurrencies that wouldn’t necessarily have a trading pair (or even charting cryptos vs. gold or other unrelated assets).
I imagined there should be a framework that could plug together data feeds from anywhere but I failed to even prove this could be done, let alone make it work for charting & alerts, on Superalgos which I had assumed was designed for that kind of thing. It seems well within the scope of this forum to discuss any means that ADA — and perhaps even some Cardano native tokens — can be plotted against other assets, currencies, economic indicators, etc.
edit: reposted a more generalised version of the question here, due to limitations of this category: Alerts for Cardano token market values; cross-chain visualisation
