Can't connect cardano-wallet with the node on testnet: blockedIndefinitelyException = thread blocked indefinitely in an STM transaction

I’m following this guide Exploring Cardano wallets | Cardano Developer Portal to learn about Cardano infra.

I have cardano-node running on port 3001 using this command

    ./cardano-node run \
   --topology ./configuration/cardano/testnet-topology.json \
   --database-path ./configuration/db \
   --socket-path ./configuration/db/node.socket \
   --host-addr 127.0.0.1 \
   --port 3001 \
   --config ./configuration/cardano/testnet-config.json

I used the configs that are suggested in the guide. Testnet magic is 1097911063 .

I was able to succesfully generate wallets with cardano-cli and create/sign/submit transactions. Now I’m trying to make cardano-wallet work but I can’t connect to the node. Here is my command:

    cardano-wallet serve \
    --port 1337 \
    --testnet configuration/cardano/testnet-byron-genesis.json \
    --database wallets/db \
    --node-socket $CARDANO_NODE_SOCKET_PATH

Hi, what I did is just updated all the config jsons to the latest version… It solved the issue.

Yeah, same I updated my node to 1.29, it’s working now.

Hmm, I’m getting DecoderFailure error with msg EraIndex: invalid index 4 when querying tip on testnet. I’m using the latest version of testnet daedalus as my node provider - so as far as I know everything is updated to the latest version. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

nvm figured it out - my cardano-cli was symlinked to Deadalus Mainnet, which is still on 1.27 instead of testnet’s 1.29
