Main Topics of the Session
This meetup focused on practical skills using the Cardano Command Line Interface (CLI) and deepened understanding of how transactions and assets work at the protocol level.
Key & Wallet Address Management
- Demonstrated how to create and manage private/public keys and wallet addresses using CLI.
- Explained the role of keys in Cardanoβs UTxO model and why address management is critical for developers.
Sending Transactions with CLI
- Participants practiced constructing, signing, and submitting transactions on testnet.
- Clarified how fees, UTxOs, and inputs/outputs work when sending ADA.
Minting Tokens & NFTs on Cardano
- Builders learned how to mint native tokens and NFTs directly using CLI.
- Covered asset metadata, policy IDs, and the transaction steps to transfer assets.
Technical Insights into Cardano Architecture
- Each topic helped participants understand the mechanics behind Cardanoβs ledger, and how its EUTxO model enables secure and flexible asset operations.
Q&A Highlights
The meetup included a lively Q&A segment, where participants clarified key concepts and asked about practical use cases.
Questions:
- Whatβs the difference between a payment address and a stake address in Cardano?
- How are token policy IDs used to verify authenticity of tokens and NFTs?
- If a token is sent to the wrong address, is it possible to reverse the transaction?
- Can I mint multiple types of tokens in a single transaction?
- What is the best practice for managing keys securely when working with CLI?
- Are there testnet explorers to check transactions after using CLI?
These questions showed that participants were not only following the technical steps but also thinking critically about real-world applications and security practices.
Community Learning Experience
As with previous meetups, the session was both educational and collaborative. Participants shared screenshots, asked for feedback, and helped one another troubleshoot during the hands-on practice.
The Cardano Builder Vietnam Telegram group remained active after the session, where attendees continued sharing progress and clarifying doubts.
Thanks & See You Next Time
Cardano Builder Meetup Online #4 helped participants gain confidence in working directly with the Cardano blockchain via CLI. Each topic brought them closer to becoming self-sufficient builders.
