An extraordinary opportunity has arisen with the formation of the Interim Constitution, initiated by Intersect Cardano. We at Cardano Hub Indonesia have been privileged to host the Cardano Constitutional Workshop in the city of Bandung, with Randy, the Community Manager of Cardano Hub Indonesia, serving as the Host Lead for this event. Randy and I acted as facilitators throughout the workshop, marking our first experience using Mentimeter as a tool to gather participant responses.
The Cardano Constitutional Workshop-Bandung, Indonesia, was held on Friday, September 6, 2024, in the city of Bandung. We collaborated with the ITB MBA Alumni Association and the 2024 ITB Campus Ambassadors in organizing this event.
Participants in this workshop came from diverse backgrounds, including students, entrepreneurs from Bandung, lecturers from universities in Bandung, ITB Bandung alumni, and other professional practitioners. A total of 74 people attended the event. The outcome of this workshop was several inputs regarding the Interim Constitution, which will be released by Intersect at the end of the Cardano Constitutional Workshop period.
The event was quite packed with several Cardano-related materials. We selected the topics of Principles and Tenets, Financial Sustainability of Cardano, DReps, and SPOs. Based on these topics, we chose five questions to ask and gather rationale from the workshop audience. Our primary challenge was to provide the audience with an understanding of the Cardano ecosystem and the purpose of this event. The event ran smoothly with two-way communication, where enthusiasm came not only from students but also from the attending practitioners and entrepreneurs. The final session involved a voting process to select a delegate to be sent to Buenos Aires, Argentina, for the continuation of the constitution. Five individuals volunteered as candidates for the delegate selection: Randy, Fanny, Abigail, Yadi, and Aldi.
The results of the voting are: Randy received the highest number of votes with a total of 291 points and Fanny Wijaya secured the second-highest position with 233 points. Both will be assigned as Constitutional Delegates and Alternate Duties and ahead of travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina on the first week of December 2024.
