- Heads Up: Before you submit any proposals, please be aware that Fund15 introduces significant new updates around eligibility and guardrails. Midnight Special
The Midnight Foundation has announced a new partnership with Project Catalyst, the Cardano ecosystem’s community-led innovation programme, to launch a dedicated funding track in Catalyst’s upcoming Fund15 round.
Backed by the Midnight Foundation, this new Compact DApps category will fund open-source Proof of Concept (PoC) decentralized applications (DApps)—known as Reference DApps—that demonstrate how Midnight’s privacy technology can be applied in real-world use cases. Each project will also develop the open-source tools needed to help builders create privacy-enabled applications more easily.
The initiative leverages Catalyst’s robust governance and community voting framework to identify and support the most promising projects advancing programmable privacy on the Midnight blockchain.

How to Get Started: A 3-Step Guide
To help you navigate the process, here is a straightforward guide to get you started.
Step 1: Set Up Your Identity (Your Catalyst Keychain)
Before you can submit a proposal, you need a Catalyst Keychain. This is the central identity system for all participants in Project Catalyst.

Action: If you don’t have one, please follow the guidelines on Catalyst Gitbook to create your Keychain. If you have created one in Fund14, you can use that once again for your access in Fund15.

Requirement: Your goal within the Keychain system is to obtain the “Proposer” role in order to submit a proposal.
Step 2: Draft & Submit Your Proposal
Once your Keychain is ready, you can begin drafting your proposal in the Catalyst App.
- Action: We highly recommend reviewing the documentation on how to create and submit a proposal in your Workspace. This guide will walk you through the entire process.
