Developer Experience Working Group (Intersect)

Hey everyone,

I’m excited to share that I’ve been selected as a Developer Advocate for Intersect (Cohort 2).

I’ve always loved open source — not just the code, but the spirit behind it. Cardano stands out to me because it’s one of the few ecosystems where builders and contributors genuinely shape the direction of the project.

My motivation is simple: to help more developers discover how to start, learn, and build confidently within Cardano .

What We’re Doing

Over the next nine months, I’ll be helping lead the Developer Experience (Dev Ex) Working Group, a space where we onboard, support, and empower new developers joining the ecosystem.

Our focus this first quarter (October–December 2025) is all about laying the foundations — making Cardano easier to navigate, documenting every step, and helping people move from curious observer to confident contributor.

We meet every week, alternating times for global accessibility:

  • Wednesdays: 07:00–08:00 UTC
  • Thursdays: 17:00–18:00 UTC

Session Roadmap (12 Weeks)

  1. Kickoff & Orientation – Mapping the Cardano ecosystem
  2. Opportunities as a Developer – Exploring career and contribution paths
  3. Hands-On #1 – Setting up a dev environment
  4. Essential Links – Key repos, docs, APIs, and forums
  5. Developer Story #1 – From idea to MVP
  6. Hands-On #2 – Creating and transferring a native token
  7. Contributing to Intersect – Non-dev and dev roles
  8. Open Clinic #1 – Live troubleshooting
  9. Community Builder Story – Non-coding contributions that matter
  10. Hands-On #3 – Wallet integration fundamentals
  11. Open Source & Docs – Writing and improving technical docs
  12. Year-End Wrap-Up – 2025 reflections and 2026 planning

Goals for Q1

  • Onboard 15–30 new developers into the Cardano ecosystem
  • Help participants set up working Cardano development environments
  • Teach three core technical skills: setup, token creation, wallet integration
  • Collect and document beginner blockers and solutions
  • Strengthen the open-source contribution pathways

Get Involved

If you’re new to Cardano or just curious about where to start — this is for you.

We want to hear your questions, challenges, and ideas along the way.

I’ll be posting our weekly meeting summaries and discussion takeaways here, so everyone can follow along, share feedback, or even join future sessions.

Let’s make this space open, practical, and welcoming for builders at every level.

See you in the next update,
