Hi, I’m Owen from Kenya. I got into blockchain after losing trust in traditional monetary and banking systems. I first found Bitcoin and resonated deeply with its principles as sound money and its focus on individual sovereignty. I believe blockchain exists to empower people, and once you understand why, you can’t unsee it. I’ve interacted with Cardano mainly on the financial side, but my interest grew through Intersect’s Developer Experience programs. I’m an upcoming developer, a supporter of open-source and privacy-preserving tools, and I’m here to learn, collaborate, and contribute meaningfully.

That transition from understanding the “why” of sound money to actually building on the tech stack is a path many here have taken. It is great to see more focus coming to the open-source and privacy-preserving side of things—we definitely need more hands on deck in those areas.
