Circle and Pentad to Integrate USDC on Cardano

On January 30th, 2026, Charles Hoskinson shared an update announcing that the Cardano Pentad and Circle had signed an integration agreement for integrating USDCx on Cardano.

This marks of course another concrete deliverable under Cardano’s Critical Infrastructure Budget proposal, that was approved by the community and funded through Cardano’s treasury via on-chain governance.

Zooming out a bit, this Circle integration does not stand in isolation. Since December 2025, three critical integrations have been announced, each addressing a different layer of ecosystem infrastructure and collectively strengthening Cardano’s position even further as a platform real-world use

For more information about this integration, follow the discussion here on the Cardano sub-Reddit.

Introducing CGOV by Mesh and SIDAN Lab

Today, February 2nd, 2026, the Mesh team announced CGOV, “a full fletched open-source governance platform for everything Cardano Onchain Governance.” The Platform was developed by Mesh and SIDAN Lab with a clear goal of making it easy for anyone to browse governance actions, access rich context, and explore voter rationales through a clean, customizable UI.

Version 1, live now, includes timelines, vote distributions, and visualizations of voting power. Version 2, coming by the end of February, will add wallet connectivity for voting and submitting proposals, plus advanced dashboards and analytics.

All code is open source under Apache 2.0. Feedback and ideas are welcome.

Upcoming SPO Table Talk: Understanding GA – Updates to Plutus Memory Unit Limits

During this Roundtable we’ll dive into the Governance Action Increase Transaction and Block Memory Units (Part 1 of 2), designed to give DApp developers more flexibility in building and executing Plutus scripts. We’ll explore exactly what’s changing with per-transaction and per-block memory limits, why a staged approach (part 1 of 2) is necessary, and how these updates translate into practical improvements for developers and users.

The discussion will also cover potential trade-offs and what this means for SPOs in terms of node performance and voting under PARAM-03a. The experts will provide a detailed understanding of why SPO participation is crucial, and the effects of a low SPO turn.

Experts joining the Table:

  • Markus Gufler, Technical Community Lead, Cardano Foundation
  • Pi Lanningham, Chief Technology Officer, SundaeSwap Labs
  • Dominic Wallis, Senior Software Engineer, Cardano Foundation
  • Micah Kendall, Founder, Butane Protocol

Cardanians: Weekly Ecosystem Updates

In the latest Cardanians Ecosystem Newsletter (#108), several notable developments across the Cardano ecosystem stood out. FluidTokens has entered the final phase of its Bitcoin–Cardano bridge, a milestone that could unlock Bitcoin liquidity for Cardano DeFi and expand cross-chain use cases on the network.

The newsletter also highlights Finest’s launch of tokenized gold on Cardano. Through fGOLD, users can mint or trade tokens representing one gram of physical gold, with the option to redeem tokens for real, underlying gold.

Rounding out the update, Cardanians points to growing activity around Bitcoin interoperability and asset-backed tokens, a movement that, according to them, is signaling continued progress in bringing external liquidity and real-world value onto Cardano.

Spotlight on Cardano Content Creators

This week, we’re highlighting some of Cardano’s content creators, community members who help keep the ecosystem informed and engaged. Whether through tutorials, blogs, or thought-provoking discussions, they contribute valuable context and keep the conversation moving. Here are a few creators making an impact:

  • Cardano Over Coffee
On January 30th, 2026, one of Cardano’s longest-running X Space platforms, Cardano Over Coffee, hosted an episode focused on the USDCx integration with Circle, helping the community better understand what USDCx actually is. The discussion also covered a range of broader Cardano governance topics and featured speakers including Blockjock, Maureen, EPOCH, and Jenny Brito, among others. Listen here

  • Linda & Josh
Community Content Creators Linda and Josh recently held a live Twitter Space. During the episode, they discussed Cardano influencers pushing back against FUD and criticism, particularly claims of ignored community feedback, heavy EMURGO/large DRep influence in final tweaks, amateurish drafting, lack of guardrails on treasury risks/bundling, and AI use concerns, and many more topics. Community Learning & Developer Engagement

Developer Office Hours & Cardano Seminars
Participation in the Cardano Developer Office Hours continues to grow, with developers actively tuning in to learn, share knowledge, and interact live with participants. Recent sessions featured:

  • uplc.link – In this Cardano Developers Office Hour, Giovanni Gargiulo introduces uplc.link, a proposal focused on bringing verifiable, transparent smart contracts to Cardano. The session explores why smart contract verification matters, how uplc.link works under the hood, and what it could unlock for developer tooling moving forward. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh8Y304u9t0

  • Cardano Seminar: Flux Point Studios - Proof-of-Inference: Making AI Verifiable on Cardano – In this Cardano Seminar, Nathaniel Minton from Flux Point Studios introduces Proof of Inference (PoI), a framework for making AI inference verifiable and auditable on Cardano. Nathaniel explores a growing challenge in enterprise and regulated environments: the lack of standard ways to prove what an AI system actually did, which model was used, what inputs were provided, and how a specific output was produced. PoI addresses this gap by anchoring cryptographic AI receipts on Cardano, transforming opaque AI inference into an auditable and tamper-evident record. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P51yKtRpj60

These sessions are just a few examples of the many ongoing ecosystem engagement efforts across Cardano. To stay updated and not miss upcoming episodes, be sure to subscribe to the channel.

Read here the full weekly development update.

Updates from the Cardano Foundation

Cardano Foundation Roadmap: Governance Update
In recent updates, the Cardano Foundation shared progress across governance and ecosystem accountability. Reaching the first milestone of its governance roadmap, the Foundation expanded its delegation to community DReps, allocating an additional 220 million ada to representatives focused on Adoption and Operations. This brings total community delegation to 360 million ada, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to distributing voting power and strengthening decentralized decision-making. Alongside this, the Foundation updated its self-delegation approach to ensure all remaining assets actively participate in governance, while still resulting in a net reduction of its overall voting power. For the full report, including an overview of the selected DRep, read here.

Lets Talk Cardano
The Foundation also released a new episode of Let’s Talk Cardano, featuring Cleopatra Martins, Finance Product Lead, discussing the thinking behind Reeve and the role of on-chain data in enabling trustworthy financial disclosures at scale. The conversation explores how immutable data reshapes audits, balances transparency with privacy, and points toward future reporting standards for enterprises, governments, and NGOs.

Thank you very much for this clear and well-structured recap of the key updates across the Cardano ecosystem.

I’m particularly enthusiastic about the USDCx integration on Cardano, enabled through an agreement between Cardano, the Pentad initiative, and Circle. This marks a major step forward for Cardano’s adoption and represents a meaningful contribution to the growth of CNTs’ TVL.

I’ll be sharing this summary with my French-speaking community so they can also benefit from these important developments and updates about our beloved Cardano.
