USDCx Now Live on Cardano
The announcement of January 30th that the Cardano Pentad (including IOG, Emurgo, Cardano Foundation, Intersect, and Midnight Foundation) had signed an integration agreement with Circle to bring USDCx, a USDC-backed stablecoin via Circle’s xReserve infrastructure, to Cardano, is now officially live!!
On February 27, 2026, IOG, again on behalf of the Pentad, announced via X that “USDCx on Cardano is now available via Circle xReserve!” This milestone brings native, 1:1 USDC-backed liquidity to Cardano mainnet without third-party bridge risks, enabling seamless cross-chain access via CCTP-like mechanisms. Major DeFi protocols like Liqwid, Minswap, and SundaeSwap supported it at launch. For the first 10 days, IOG will subsidize bridge fees to ease adoption.
This well-appreciated integration is expected to enhance Cardano’s DeFi TVL, payments, lending, and RWA potential, attracts institutional liquidity, boosts interoperability, and solidifies its enterprise-grade position. See here the full announcement from:

Path to a Multilingual Cardano.org
On February 26, 2026, the Cardano Foundation announced that cardano.org is becoming multilingual to reflect how global Cardano truly is.
The team is using Crowdin to let anyone help translate the site, no coding skills required, just language skills. The effort starts with Japanese, German, and Vietnamese, and more languages will follow as progress continues.
It’s easy, and anyone can contribute. You can take part by signing up at crowdin.com, joining the “cardano-org” project (see link), picking your language, and translating in your browser.
A live progress tracker at cardano.org/translations shows how each language is advancing and highlights top contributors. Every translated phrase brings Cardano closer to being accessible in more languages around the world.

New Release: Cardano-Signer 1.35.0
On February 26, 2026, Martin Lang (Cardano Ambassador), stake pool operator of the ATADA pools, announced the release of cardano-signer 1.35.0 (Export Edition). This update exports key JavaScript functions, like signCIP8, verifyCIP8, generateShelleyAddress, and master key generators, allowing SPOs and developers to import and integrate them directly into custom scripts, modules, or tooling for streamlined automation.
In case you’re wondering what Cardano-Signer is, well: it’s a versatile open-source CLI tool for secure Cardano key management. It enables signing/verifying arbitrary data, supports CIP-8 messages, CIP-30 dApps, CIP-36 voting, governance actions, CIP-88v2 Calidus registrations, and key derivation, perfect for SPOs needing flexible, offline signing beyond cardano-cli. The full release note can be found here.
Roundtable Talk: Understanding the Adoption Gap in Supply Chain Management
On February 26, 2026, the Cardano Community hosted another Cross Ecosystem Roundtable Talk, this time on the topic of Understanding the Adoption Gap in Supply Chain Management.
The discussion was held with experienced industry leaders actively building in the space. Together, they discussed why blockchain-based traceability solutions, despite growing legal clarity and operating within a multi-trillion dollar global industry, have yet to achieve large-scale enterprise adoption. Panelists shared their perspective on real-world implementation, highlighted operational and integration challenges, and emphasized the importance of stronger dialogue between industry and policymakers.
Participants included representatives from Vetri, Zengate Global, Plastiks, Open Food Chain, Tokenance, and Minespider.
Ambassador Stories, with Bernard Sibanda
Bernard Sibanda recently joined the ranks of Cardano Ambassadors. While he may be less known across the broader ecosystem, in parts of Africa several will already be familiar with his work. Bernard has been deeply committed to developer education, guiding aspiring builders on their journey to becoming Haskell and Plutus developers on Cardano.
With a background as a technology entrepreneur and community builder, he has launched multiple initiatives focused on tooling, training, and grassroots adoption. From running developer programs to supporting students across several African countries, his work reflects a strong focus on practical empowerment and long-term ecosystem growth.
In his story, Bernard shares how his journey began in 2018, what drew him to Cardano’s academic foundations, and his vision of equipping the ecosystem with tools that make it easier for new developers to get started and build productively.
We’re excited to see him continue strengthening technical capacity and community growth across the continent. Welcome to the Program, Bernard!

Project Catalyst Stewardship Transition to Cardano Foundation
On February 24, 2026, Project Catalyst, the Cardano Foundation, and Intersect MBO announced the transition of Project Catalyst stewardship from IOG to the Cardano Foundation.
The process is underway, with Catalyst team members joining the Foundation to guarantee continuity for existing grantees and over 500 active projects (more than 2,200 funded to date). Fund14, however, will continue according to agreed milestones.
Fund15 and Fund16 rounds are paused due to the transition. Also, ada previously allocated for the mentioned funding rounds will be returned to the Cardano treasury.

Cardanians: Weekly Ecosystem Updates
In the latest Cardanians Ecosystem Newsletter, several developments across the Cardano ecosystem stand out.
According to their update, Cardano’s allocation in Grayscale’s Smart Contract Fund has continued its upward trajectory, reaching 20.39%. The team notes that this consistent growth since November may be signaling strengthening institutional confidence.
Building on infrastructure momentum, the Cardanians team also highlighted Midnight’s progress toward its federated mainnet. Per their post, Midnight announced MoneyGram, eToro, and Pairpoint (by Vodafone) as new validators. These are now joining previously announced operators like Google Cloud, Blockdaemon, Shielded, and AlphaTON. The team noted that SPOs are expected to participate in the next phase.
Meanwhile, in the DeFi and real-world assets space, the newsletter reports that FluidTokens has launched lending and borrowing for tokenized physical gold on Cardano.
