Sidan Labs Reflects on a Landmark Bitcoin x Cardano Gathering

The team at Sidan Labs, part of the Cardano Hong Kong Team, recently shared their excitement about the ‘Bitcoin DeFi Layer on Cardano’’ event. According to the team, it wasn’t just a showcase or panel, it was a real space for conversation, where Bitcoin and Cardano communities could connect and learn from each other.

They’re especially excited about the possibilities for resources, liquidity, and ideas to flow more freely between these ecosystems, creating new opportunities for growth for both communities and the builders in them.

The team also gave a special thanks to Waffle Capital, without whom the event would not be possible. The full post can be read here.

Masumi Side-Events at Cardano Summit 2025 – Registrations Now Open

With just two months to go, the Cardano Summit 2025 arrives in Berlin on 12–13 November, connecting our ecosystem with leading global enterprises.

The premier event will bring together entrepreneurs, regulators, founders, tech pioneers, and thought leaders to explore how businesses can innovate and maintain their competitive edge.

Alongside the main program, Masumi has announced two exciting side-events for Summit attendees.

  1. Pre-Show Party – Register here
  2. Day 1 After-Show Party – Register here

Both side-events promise to add even more energy and networking opportunities to the Summit experience.

Cardano Summit 2025 Hackathon – Registrations Now Open

Besides the organization of exciting side-events, the Cardano Summit 2025 will also feature a hackathon in a brand-new format designed to help developers level up and create even more impactful projects.

Day Zero of the Summit, Tuesday, 11 November 2025, will be dedicated entirely to builders and community members, offering a full day to connect, collaborate, and showcase new ideas.

Four engineering teams; Bloxbean, Cardano Foundation, Masumi, and Mesh will be on-site providing live support so participants can hit the ground running. With USD 30,000 in prizes to be divided across all tracks and winners, this is a unique opportunity to bring your ideas to life.

The hackathon is free to attend and open to everyone. For more information about the Hackathon, and also on the return of Battle of the Builders, and the Day Zero Governance track, click here. Registration links are also included.

Cardano Vision 2030 – Product Committee Seeks Your Input

Intersect MBO has recently announced the launch of Cardano Vision 2030, a plan to define where Cardano should be by the end of the decade. The post notes that in today’s rapidly evolving blockchain landscape, a clear and shared vision is critical to guide growth, focus innovation, and maintain the ecosystem’s long-term impact. Vision 2030 aims to clarify Cardano’s unique purpose, guide focused innovation, and keep the ecosystem aligned, avoiding fragmentation or wasted effort. The post emphasizes that, rather than just listing technical features, this initiative asks the deeper question: why does Cardano exist? and what strategies are needed to guide our future?

The Product Committee is hosting remote workshops where the community can review the first draft, provide feedback, and help shape the proposal. A series of workshops are being organized by Intersect MBO. Cexplorer.io Blog: Amaru node and the Implementation of Ouroboros Leios

Recently there has been lots of talk about the alternative Cardano node Amaru, but how does it relate to the Ouroboros Leios protocol? According to a post by Cexplorer.io, Amaru is a Rust-based node developed by PRAGMA to run alongside Cardano’s Haskell node. Amaru offers a complementary implementation that enhances network resilience and decentralization. By providing a fully functional alternative node, Amaru reduces reliance on a single client and helps safeguard the network against potential vulnerabilities or failures in the Haskell node.

Meanwhile, IOG is integrating the Ouroboros Leios consensus protocol into the Haskell node to significantly improve scalability and transaction throughput. To ensure full compatibility and maintain network cohesion, the Amaru team must also implement Leios in line with IOG’s timeline. The post highlights that this coordination between different node implementations and the adoption of advanced consensus protocols is critical for strengthening the Cardano ecosystem. These parallel efforts not only support broader adoption and further decentralisation of the network but also provide the community with a more robust infrastructure, improve fault tolerance, and foster a more resilient and distributed blockchain environment capable of handling diverse real-world applications. Cardano Community Events Calendar Has Launched

A connected community is a strong community. But staying connected requires clear, accessible information - especially when it comes to live events where the most valuable collaborations happen.

Usually, finding these events has meant searching across multiple Social Media platforms, adding further complexity to the process.

To help bridge this gap, we’re excited to share a new initiative: a community-first event calendar, supported by the Cardano Foundation. This project is built on the principle of aggregation, not replacement. It’s designed to work with other existing calendars, creating a network of cross-shared events that makes the entire ecosystem more visible and accessible.

How this helps you:

  • For Organizers: Get your event in front of a larger, more engaged audience. This calendar is another powerful, free tool to amplify your reach. Events may also be highlighted in the bi-weekly Community Digest.
  • For Attendees: Discover a wider range of events - from major conferences to niche workshops - in one easy-to-navigate place. Never miss an opportunity to learn or connect.
