I am building my client website on WooCommerce and he wants to add Cardano as a payment gateway, but I am having difficulty configuring it with WooCommerce product add-ons plugin.

who is the vendor of that Cardano plugin for WooCommerce? Can you please link to it, because they are probably the only one who can help with your question.
From what you wrote, the plugin may not have been updated after the OBFT hardfork but this is only an assumption.
