First sync of relay node slow

I seemed to have successfully started syncing my first relay node but at the current pace it will take 29 hours to fully sync. Would there an obvious reason for why this is happening? I would prefer not to have to wait over a day to see if there is anything wrong with the sync process. I’ve read it is not supposed to take over 12 hours.

VM has 8 gb RAM and 6 processors
Digital Ocean server has 8 gb of RAM as well

It takes ~1-1,5 days… even more… it depens to which servers u are connected. Did u kept the iohk server inside the topology file right?

Also u can try to find pears close to you and connect to them (search on cardano main topology file)
