Forced Proposal Migrations - Community Resolution Vote

:warning: Please read the Forced Proposal Migrations - Analysis & Resolution post before voting :warning:

This is a vote to help resolve the forced proposal migrations issue for the Catalyst Systems Improvement category. Please comment any of your thoughts on the matter below for others to consider when voting.

Option 1 - Proceed without change

Action that should be taken by Catalyst team

Nothing changes. The current forced proposal migrations happen as planned and the rationale provided cannot be challenged by any proposer.

Why you might vote for this option

You believe that the forced migration process and the conflict of interest with IOG moderating a process for removing proposals from a category where they are competing in the same category is not an issue that needs resolving.

Option 2 - Abort proposal migrations

Action that should be taken by Catalyst team

The Catalyst team cancels all fund 10 proposal migrations meaning proposals stay where they were submitted. The migration process can be properly analysed and understood in future rounds for improvement before it is suggested again as a potentially useful process.

Why you might vote for this option

You agree with the overall proposal migration process flaws & suggestions analysis that highlights how the process centralises power, has no clear path to becoming decentralized over time and has other more simple solutions that can be explored that do not introduce the same problems as the current centralised process. Due to this you see the best course of action being that no proposals should be migrated for fund 10 using this migration process. Aborting this proposal migration process would also mean the inclusion of removing the conflict of interest problem.

Option 3 - Fix conflict of interest

Action that should be taken by Catalyst team

The Catalyst team does not migrate any of the proposals from the Catalyst System Improvements category. This will help with removing the conflict of interest that exists where IOG is moderating the process for removing proposals from categories they are competing in. The Catalyst team may or may not decide to communicate the same rationale to the initially suggested proposals for migration in that category to share the IOG Legal teams rationale on why those proposals should be migrated elsewhere. The proposer would then be given the choice and be who ultimately decides whether they accept that suggestion or not.

Why you might vote for this option

The Catalyst team should remove their conflict of interest that IOG has in moderating the process that removes competition in a category they are competing in and have a financial incentive to reduce the competition. You believe the key outcome that is needed is just to remove the conflict of interest.
