So, we have got a mainnet, obviously. I guess there should be some testnet. Is it public? What is it’s characteristics(total stack, topology and so on…)? Docs and source code mention qa-net and staging… So what are they? Are they sinonyms for testnet or they are distinct networks? Are there “non-official” networks, launched in public domains in same fation like I can start it on my localhost?

There are some (some internal, some public). You can check the main config file https://github.com/input-output-hk/cardano-sl/blob/master/lib/configuration.yaml
Keep, in mind, that mainnet did not use that Genesis Spec to build Genesis Data, but used the existing mainnet-genesis.json to bring the mainnet up.

Isn’t it about time you went on your way?
I know it’s not true, but I’d like to think that it’s Charles creating a fake account for Aprils Fools and just having his way trolling everyone else and FUDding all the way with the same stuff that everyone spammed him for the last 6 months 
Just imagining Charles sitting at home with his phone, going like: “Haha! You never gonna get your Linux wallet! It’s all scam!!! hahahaha”
