What are the steps to renew KES key on the BP node?

Then the operation is simple… cntools - pool - rotate … and restart ur Producer

Now in glive u should see new expiration date

Cool, should i rotate it after the KES expired or i can do it few days before hand ?

You must rotate before expire (1-2 days before ).

Hey @Alexd1985, I am also using cntools and when I rotate, it shows me this error below.
Command failed: node issue-op-cert Error: /opt/cardano/cnode/priv/pool/My_pool/cold.counter: /opt/cardano/cnode/priv/pool/My_pool/cold.counter: openBinaryFile: permission denied (Permission denied)

do you have any idea what permission require for the process? I gave full permission but still same atm.

I figured that all 3 cold.x files should have rw rights. after that all worked like a charm… and I removed those files from my Production node to a cold storage for precaution…
