If i download the newest version of daedalus, will it sync my wallet from old daedalus?

If i download the newest version of daedalus, will it sync my wallet from old daedalus or will i need to use my 12 key phrase to restore?

My key phrase is hidden somewhere in my storage locker, don’t wanna go through the hassle of finding it if i dont have to.

Hello,

Till next week u will need it, after that the new daedalus version (3.3.0) will permit u to restore ur wallet by importing the secret.key from an older version; spending password still required!

for mainnet should be this week, but daedalus flight is already available for download

check and download only from official soureces/sites

It’s already out now, you can upgrade Daedalus Mainnet

Are you able to give me a step by step on how this will work? will it automatically just sync up with old data? or do i need this “secret.key” file from previous folder or something like that

Download the new version and restore via import from file option
