I noticed on gov.tools that my DREP is marked as Inactive. I am in there frequently upvoting/downvoting and commenting on things, so curious what defines active/inactive. Is anyone aware?
This just means that the drep didnt vote for a certain time (not sure how long). But this doesnt really have to mean anything, as there are some dreps which dont wanna vote on every governance action and will only vote on certain proposals.
And to become active, you will have to vote on a governance action. Not now though as there’s no GA you can vote on as a DRep yet. Patiently wait for the ratification of the Plomin HF which would open the way for DReps to be able to vote on all GAs.
I see… So if thats the case, how can there be some DREPs that are currently designated as ‘active’ in gov.tools?
They have voted on the info actions that we already had, but that are all expired by now, so that at the moment dReps there is nothing to vote on.
(Updating the registration might also make them active. Have to look at the specification and/or the code for that.)
For instance, Wada DRep is active because we voted on previous governance actions, you can check that here
