Looking for Free / Low-Cost Text-to-Speech Tools for Beginner Cardano Education

Hi everyone,
I’m planning to run a small “28 Days of Cardano” beginner-friendly education series in February to complement the Cardano Africa Tech Summit in Kenya. The goal is to create simple, accessible content for newcomers who may not be technical yet.

I’m currently looking for free or very low-cost text-to-speech tools I can use to produce audio content, as most of the models I’ve explored so far are a bit costly for me.

If anyone has leads, open-source tools, or suggestions that have worked well for you, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

Maybe this one helps - you can also run it local on your machine. The feedback so far was really good in social media after the release.

You can try it out here: Pocket TTS: a high-quality TTS with voice cloning that runs on CPU

Can’t wait for the results.

Thank you, this is really helpful. Running it locally is a big plus for me, especially from a cost and privacy perspective. I’ll check it out and share how it goes. Really appreciate :folded_hands:

Hey, thanks for the recommendation; I really appreciate it.
I’ve just launched a small educational series called 28 Days of Cardano, and I’m using the tool to help make the content more accessible and consistent.

I took your suggestion into account while setting things up, so thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

If you get a moment, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the intro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWNWwSAQ9Eg&pp=0gcJCZEKAYcqIYzv or Day 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKIp9or3Qis .

I’m happy that this little one was able to help you! The outcome of the sound quality for such a small model is really good. I’m impressed.

Happy building!
