No transactions processed

question, are you configured both nodes on same sarver? I think not

No, this is two vps in the same datacenter.

I’m trying to clean install on Ubuntu 18, maybe this helps… This is really something strange.
Don’t waste your time, I will add some information later.

ok, keep me updated, I’m sure we gone solve

Sometimes data centers use a private IP address if you are talking within their network. You might have to set your topology for that private IP instead of the public one.

Bad things happens, I uploaded poolmeta.json saved (and formatted) with VSCode - hash was broken - and my pool was banned(?) in cardano network. Thats why topologyUdater didn’t add my IPs to the relay list (https://explorer.mainnet.cardano.org/relays/topology.json). This is probably the reason.

Now all works as well. Thank you for help :slightly_smiling_face:

Great! Glade you solved!

Was total rebuild the fix for this? I noticed my node has 2 out and 1 in … but mempool is empty and zero processed transactions. I am rebuilding the node now (updating to 1.27.0).

which node? the producer?

the relays has tx processed? perhaps u set the TraceMempool to false in config.file

Sorry one of my relays but no it has some in and out peers but no processed tranactions and mempool is empty. im updating the node to 1.27.0 right now and ill check out the config after its finished. Thanks!

still no transactions … tracemempool is true in config.json

U don’t have IN peers, are u running the topology updater to announce the IP?
Also did u opened the port in fw?

yes port is open

/opt/cardano/cnode/scripts$ sudo ufw status
Status: active

6001/tcp (v6) ALLOW Anywhere (v6)
6000/tcp (v6) ALLOW Anywhere (v6)

and i did run topology updater when i rebuilt the node i believe … ill try again

But u will need to run every hour

U must run the script ./deploy-as-systemd.sh and choose Y for topology updater

ok ill rerun that script and see what happens. PS this node is on an internal server. My BP and relay are in my own building. The external relay in a cloud server seems to be working fine. It’s closing in on 60000 processed transactions.

Aaaa ok, no problem u will still need the topology updater and also if the relay are connected behind a private network then u will nees a port forward on ur local router

Also the Producer is not connected to the relay so add the relay in topology file of the producer (u can use the private IP) and restart the producer

A little progress… i have 4 out peers and 1 in peer… so thats more then before… but no transactions yet… i have added a port forwarding rule for the relay cnode port? or should it be the ssh port? Also… all of my nodes have the same cnode port. Should they all have different ones or does it matter?

Because the IN peer it’s the Producer, u need to look in logs (topology uodater last result) the glade u are staying with us message; then restart the node (after 4 runs or 3 hours)

sudo systemctl sudo restart

i have added a port forwarding rule for the relay cnode port? or should it be the ssh port?

The cnode (the port set in env file)

Also… all of my nodes have the same cnode port. Should they all have different ones or does it matter?

Nope, doesn’t matter

what does wait in logs mean? i have 6 out peers in and 1 out. Seems to be heading in the right direction. so i will restart my node after 3 hours uptime. My BP doesnt have processed transactions… thats normal tho right?

No, the BP should have tx processed as well

ok well any other ideas? Seems my relay has more out peers… but still only one in. So my internal BP and relay are connected but no transactions between the two. and my relay on digital ocean seems to be fine. processing transactions with 17 peers out and 3 in.
