For all SPOs which have not upgraded to the newest versions so far:

  • In order to prevent DDoS attacks like the last one SPOs should upgrade to either 8.12.2 or 8.9.4
  • Versions 8.12.x p2p only connect to versions 8.9.2 or newer.
  • Laios hardfork will only happen if enough SPOs upgraded their software to 9.0.0
  • Finally: you most likely want to enable p2p instead of using centralized topology updates.

Yep, we’re all upgraded to 8.9.4

I see that 9.0.0 is not released yet. However, I am building it now. Is it OK to use on the mainnet?

No, only use the approved releases. 8.9.4, 8.12.2, or an earlier approved release.

Check the release notes to make sure you’re using the right one.
