This edition of the Pacific Town hall started with some community updates from Landano and Orcfax, Algae Token, and Color the Blockchain. We then moved into two longer presentations and conversations.
Presentations:
Jo Allum presented an overview of her funded Catalyst Proposal “Regulation-as-code.” A project that looked at putting regulation and laws into a human and machine-readable format and provided a demo of a live website that uses this technology.
Madi Lommen, Partnerships Lead at Socious, presented Socious Impact Lending, a project from Catalyst F9 to facilitate access to financial services for underserved populations such as the unbanked. Socious Impact Lending is a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol that allows people to lend and borrow THANKs (Socious’ native tokens) on a credit of social good without having to go through a centralized intermediary.
