Woooow, I did not expect this. Congrats and looking forward to seeing some implementations like side chains and SPV like solutions. This is a very big step IMO.

Yes, the ideas are similar, although the details of the construction are different. While PoW sidechains need (NI)PoPoWs, here we base our construction on ATMS – ad-hoc threshold multisignatures – which we introduce in the paper, and you can think of as a flavour of (NI)PoPoS.
