  • Q3 2026 Impact Pot Voting: Nine proposals live in the forum, vote for up to three by month end, $12K pool.
  • Cardano-org/Events Revamp: New global calendar fed by Luma, Ambassador events now auto-listed.
  • Impact Pot Pitches: Bernard Sibanda (Coxygen Global) and Cristian Jair Rojas Velez (Cardano University to Puebla / Unlock Summit).

:trophy: Key Takeaways & Discussion Highlights

1. New Ambassador Onboarding

New Ambassadors introduced themselves: @Ayomishuga, a mathematics educator and X space host from Nigeria building newcomer onboarding; @Baudouin_Augustin, a Congo-based community leader driving French-speaking education and governance; and @AngryCryptoShow (Alexandre), who joined his first call in the PM session with a mission to simplify Cardano and Midnight news for a wider audience.

2. Q3 2026 Impact Pot: Vote Now

The Impact Pot moved fully to the Cardano Forum. Nine proposals are live in the Ambassador Hub’s Impact Pot section.

3. Cardano.org/Events: One Global Calendar

Josefine Birkigt showed the revamped Cardano Events, Conferences and Meetups | Cardano page. Featured events sit at the top (Rare Evo, Blockchain Rio, and similar), while all other gatherings pull automatically from the Cardano Luma calendar. Ambassadors can submit events via the form or by adding them to Luma, then they appear on cardano.org after admin approval.

4. Impact Pot Pitches: Education on Three Continents

5. USDM DeFi Coalition: Growing Liquidity Bottom-Up

Eystein Magnus Hansen (NBX) and James Meidinger (Moneta Digital) presented the USDM DeFi Coalition, a collaboration with Fluid Tokens, Wave Capital, Block Sign, and the Matthew Ploumann Legacy Fund. The pitch: instead of incentive-driven “top-down” capital that leaves in downturns, the coalition deploys patient, community-rooted liquidity (the “garden” metaphor) to build a durable DeFi ecosystem.

The coalition targets the core bottleneck: Cardano has strong builders but lacks coordinated, community-rooted stablecoin liquidity, so lending markets cannot offer competitive rates and real-world assets sit idle.

The architecture pairs a regulated gateway with on-chain flow: NBX (publicly listed on Oslo Børs, co-issuer of USDM, operator of the gold-backed fGLD asset) acts as the fiat gateway, while Fluid Tokens is the peer-to-pool lending venue where the coalition deploys capital.

Highlights from the pilot so far:

  • Scale: Started at roughly $110K, now about $445K deployed on Fluid. Average supply yield around 7.1 percent. Monthly active users doubled and stayed (stickiness even after incentives ended).
  • Education: Open playbooks at usdmdefi.com (your first USDM, how to get yield, DCA into gold, borrow without selling, RWA strategies). Ambassadors are encouraged to create and share similar onboarding material.
  • Risk discipline: Battle-tested contracts, monitored collateralization, auto-liquidation with grace periods, and a cautious stance on bridges (the ByFrost Bitcoin bridge is favoured for its slow, safe design).
  • What is next: Q3 expansion with more partners, Flip app integration for non-custodial yield to unbanked workers, and one-click DeFi.

I’m especially pleased to see the DRC represented by a new Ambassador -@Baudouin_Augustin-, and I hope this will help us further grow the Cardano ecosystem through collaboration, education, and community building in our country.

Congratulations to the other new Ambassadors and thank you to the entire Cardano Ambassador Program for your continued work in strengthening and growing Cardano communities around the world.

However, I’m not sure whether such a space already exists, but one idea would be to host occasional open community calls where Ambassadors can share their work, exchange lessons learned, and showcase initiatives from different regions. I believe this could foster greater collaboration and help the broader community benefit from their diverse contributions.
