Operational monitoring is clearly essential for stake pool operators. There may also be a user-facing side to this: delegators might not know when a pool is nearing saturation, retiring, changing fees, or experiencing prolonged performance issues. Which alerts do operators think wallets should surface to delegators without creating unnecessary noise?
That’s a great point. We think wallet notifications should focus on events where delegators may actually need to take action, not every operational detail.
Things like pool retirement, approaching saturation, major fee changes, or prolonged inactivity are meaningful for delegators. Metrics such as relay health, peer count, KES status, or node performance are much more useful for SPOs and are better handled by dedicated monitoring tools.
The goal should be actionable alerts, not more notifications.
That distinction makes sense—wallets should surface changes that affect a delegator’s decision, while leaving infrastructure-level metrics to dedicated SPO tools. Showing what changed, why it matters, and whether action is needed would make each alert more useful. Optional notification controls could also help prevent alert fatigue. Thanks for clarifying.
