Uruguay Event: Gratitude to the Ambassadors Impact PoT

The Cardano Builders Uruguay event marked an outstanding beginning to the year, offering valuable insights and networking opportunities for the Cardano community. Designed as a Cardano-exclusive gathering, the event aimed to attract developers, businesses, and potential community members spending their summer in Uruguay.

This initiative brought together key players from the Cardano ecosystem, including Intersect MBO and the Cardano Foundation, to explore the network’s strengths, technical aspects, governance, and growth strategies in Latin America.

Event Highlights

Technical Presentations and Institutional Insights

The event featured comprehensive presentations covering:

  • The History and Technology of Cardano: An in-depth look at Cardano as a third-generation blockchain, its Proof-of-Stake (PoS) system, liquid staking, and unique technological advantages.

  • Institutional Overview: The Cardano Foundation’s role, achievements, and ongoing projects were discussed, with a focus on business development and community engagement. Attendees were encouraged to explore collaboration opportunities.

  • Governance and Structure: A session led by Intersect, examining CIP-1694, the proposed Cardano constitution, the role of Delegated Representatives (DReps), and the Intersect Coordination Committee (ICC).

Project Catalyst Workshop & Innovation Contest

To encourage community participation, the event hosted a hands-on workshop and competition, introducing attendees to Project Catalyst. Participants engaged in a structured challenge, pitching innovative ideas evaluated by a panel of judges. The best concepts received monetary prizes, fostering innovation and deeper ecosystem engagement.

Sunset Networking Event

The event concluded with a sunset networking session featuring a DJ and breathtaking views of Punta del Este’s beaches. Attendees enjoyed the evening with Aperol Spritz, while Vesper Wallet and Hosky facilitated AirDrops, allowing seamless transactions on the Cardano mainnet.

Future Objectives and Ecosystem Growth

The event also served as a strategic platform to:

  • Increase community engagement and attract new members.
  • Encourage ambassador applications from Uruguay, which currently lacks local representation.
  • Clarify the roles of the Cardano Foundation in Latin America and strengthen its involvement in regional initiatives.
  • Promote collaboration between attendees and Cardano’s Community and Business Development teams.

Gratitude and Impact

Gracias Uruguay por tanto amor y cariño, this event laid the foundation for stronger regional connections and lasting contributions to the broader ecosystem.

I would like to extend my gratitude once again to the new Impact PoT of the Ambassador Program, and to its creator Sebastian Aravena, for establishing a system that fosters collaboration among ambassadors. This support allowed us to bring this idea and event to life in Uruguay.

Regarding event metrics reported in CharmVerse, attendance ranged between 30-40 participants, and a few attendees applied to become ambassadors.

Let’s continue building and collaborating together!
