When will more pools be able to mint at least one block?

Hi everyone :slight_smile: ,

I checked PoolTool just now and approx 1000 Pool are producing at least one block each epoch. When will we change the k parameter to support more small pools and further decentralization?

Has nothing to do with the k parameter. The k parameter only defines the max. stake that can be staked in a pool. Each pool can make a block if they have stake in there pool. Its up to the marketing of the pool to gain more stake.

So if the saturation threshold is i.e. halfed, the minimum stake to make a block stays the same? I thought it would half as well…

yes it stays at the same level, because it only depends on the active stake in a pool vs. the total stake.
