Final update.

On our second relay node, I did the following:

  • downloaded and copied over the pre-built hydra binaries (while node is running - this works fine since it doesn’t affect what’s in memory; just don’t restart anything yet)
  • downloaded the db from csnapshots
  • stopped the node
  • deleted the old db folder, unarchived the csnapshots in the proper db location
  • rebooted

Once rebooted, the node finished syncing the remaining blocks in under 10 mins. It was at 99% in 4 mins. I’m very happy with this flow and will use it next on our bp.
