ADA from TRUST wallet to DAEDALUS

Hello. I moved ADA from Binance (China) to Trust wallet in December of this year. I would like to move it to Daedalus wallet or Yoroi. But I don’t know how to do it.

Download Yoroi or Daedalus (only from offical sources), create a wallet and back up your seed and send your coins over.

I think there are different youtube videos on how to create and receive coins via Daedalus or Yoroi.

Cheers
Fabian

Hello,

First u will need a wallet on daedalus or yoroi!

Download daedalus or yoroi!
Remember that :

  • Daedalus is available only for PC
  • Yoroi is available for PC/mobile

Once u created the wallet (be carefully to backup ur spending password and seed words and keep them same away from the internet) u can move ADA from Trust wallet to Daedalus or Yoroi wallet.

Cheers,

Thank you.

I have both an iMac and iPhone.

The ADA is labeled CardanoBEP2 in the Trust wallet and I read on here that you need to have Binance coins to make the transfer? Another thing that is mixing me up is the talk of Shelley and Byron. Is that something I need to be concerned with? (I bought the ADA in 2018).

Thank you!

You cannot send ADA to trust wallet. You may have used a custom token that is unrelated to cardano blockchain. You’d want to move your funds back to exchange and then move it to Cardano wallets from link above

It says Cardano BEP2 with the ADA logo in the Trust wallet and the amount of ADA.

I don’t think I can move it back to Binance in China because they are no longer supporting clients from New York.

It is just that I thought I read that ADA will be lost if you send ADA from Trust wallet to Yoroi. Is that not correct information?

Thank you.

I have both an iMac and iPhone.

The ADA is labeled Cardano BEP2 in the Trust wallet. Is BEP2 the Binance blockchain? And if it was transferred on Binance blockchain is this problematic?

Thank you very much. I will try to contact Trust wallet.

One last thing: The issue is that I want to get the ADA from the Trust wallet to a wallet where I can participate in “staking”. Which is the wallet you recommend? I do have a Ledger Nano.

If they are not able to help u, can u exchange ur cardano to another currency and move to another exchange which support ada?

Cheers,

Daedalus and Yoroi are officials wallets for cardano; download only from official sources!

I can’t move ADA back to Binance because Binance is no longer supporting clients from NY. I had to move funds out of Binance. That is why I sent from Binance to Trust wallet.

In the left and column it says Cardano BEP2 and to the right of that it lists the amount of ADA that is in the wallet.

I want to get ADA to a place where I can do staking once I learn how to do that.

As @Alexd1985 says, Daedalus and Yoroi are the official wallets, and both allow staking.

Daedalus is a full node that only runs on desktop systems (Linux, Mac and WIndows). Warning: There is a fake Deadalus phone app (for Apple and Android I believe) which will steal your funds.

Yoroi is a light wallet which as I understand it can run on mobile. I would still recommend against using a phone as phones are such vulnerable targets security wise.

not for apple, apple is the best

Thank you so much.

Now I just have to figure out how to get the ADA from Trust wallet to Daedalus. That is the part I don’t get. With the “Cardano BEP2” situation
.

It is possible that BEP2 to use binance network, and you probably need few bnb in order to perform transactions… I think you should contact Trust Wallet support and ask them how you can withdraw ADA outside the wallet!

Cheers,

Yes, that seems to be the most sensible thing to do. I had a little difficulty in finding out where to contact Trust support, but I will figure it out. Although I have had this ADA since 2018, I really lack knowledge about the basics. I do appreciate the help you have given me. Thank you so much.
