Can anybody please explain to me the difference between the account’s field “amount” and the address field “balance”.
Is the sum of addresses balances equals the account amount ?

Logically, it is. But from what I know, in the final version of the API V1 there will be no address balance - only account amount or wallet amount. Address balance only still exists in documentation (not updated yet).
