All, Replaying ledger from on-disc blockchain stalling at 9.14%

With the Replaying ledger from on-disc blockchain stalling at 9.14%, It also has the balance and transaction history of this wallet stuck at 99.82% synced with the blockchain. I am running Deadalus Mainnet 5.3.0#44942bd51
I have tried closing the program and restarting it and getting no further.

If theres no specific reason to use a full node wallet for you, id recommand restoring your wallet in a lite wallet like Typhon or Eternl.

well, thats a non answer. What if teh person needs that full node wallet? do you have a fix? this is laughable answer

Well, most people do not need a full node wallet. It has next to no advantages.

So, the answer that you can easily import into a light wallet (without having to transfer anything, it’s just the same wallet in another interface) and be done in seconds does help a lot of them.

Most of the time it’s just the very, very heavy resource usage of Daedalus. Without 200 GiB of disk space and 32 GiB of memory, you probably shouldn’t even try.

If you are sure that that is not it, you have a few options:

  • Open a ticket with IOG at https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and let the professionals who created that behemoth deal with it. There are not many Daedalus users left among the volunteers in this forum. For reasons.
  • Look through the node logs (https://iohk.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4406070442137-Get-to-know-your-node-logs, hope it’s still the same) around the time that the node stops synchronising or restarts from the beginning for anything that could give you and us a clue what is happening. “Doesn’t work” is rarely a bug report for which you’ll get good answers.
  • Delete the whole thing (including the chain data!) and start from the beginning. Yes, that will be another week of synchronising the blockchain. So, not really a good option.
