Ambassador Stories, Journal #17 : Denis & Dmitry
Welcome to the 17th journal of the “Ambassador Stories” series!
New stories will be shared with you, whenever new ambassadors join our ranks and provide their stories.
You’ll be able to enjoy the various, unique stories of our Cardano Community Ambassadors: what motivated, and still motivates them, to be part of this amazing and wonderful community?
The Cardano Community Team would also like to thank the Ambassadors for all their continued efforts and participation in sharing their stories with us.
Part 1: Denis, Ambassador Content Creator:
Denis has been part of the Cardano community, in particular supporting the Russian community, for quite some time with great enthusiasm. His contributions to the project, with his own project “Medusa” is much appreciated and valued! Keep up the great work you’re doing and thanks for all that you do!

1) Tell us a little about yourself. What is your background?
My name is Denis. I’m from Russia. I like IT-industry and science. I am a web-developer, one of the leaders of php.ru community, artificial neural networks engineer and, aslo, I am a 3d-character artist and R&D specialist in Wizart Animation Studio.
2) How did you get interested and involved with Blockchain/Crypto?
So, if you are a part of “IT subculture” you can’t miss something like blockchain technology.
But the first time when I came into contact with it myself, it was just a trading interest. Later on, it became something more…
3) Why Cardano?
I don’t know how to explain it, but when I first met Cardano, I just got a flash “THIS IS IT”. Sometimes I just know that something is the right thing. I started to learn it, it’s philosophy, main ideas, architecture, etc. and this made sure that I was right from the beginning. I like it because of almost all known problems related to a blockchain projects are already included as “should be solved, because it is just a question of time” to the development plan. So there shouldn’t be many surprises along the way.
It is a smart and well-weighted approach. Yes, the development process isn’t fast, but as Russians often say: “The slower you go, the further you’ll get.”
4) How are you contributing to the Cardano Ecosystem as an Ambassador?
I am a developer of Medusa AdaWallet. Also, I provide some tech support, help and consulting for the Cardano Russian community and moderate its chat rooms. Furthermore, I’m trying to help the Cardano Wallet Project, and try to find runtime bugs. Maybe someday I will even learn Haskell When I will have more free time, I hope.
From time to time I work with community members’ private Cardano networks as a beta tester. And during the Shelley ITN, I’m also doing some minor research.
5) What is your future vision for the Cardano Ecosystem?
That someday Craig Wright will say to everyone that he is the real Charles Hoskinson!
But as everyone who is staying aboard this boat will find out, I hope that it will be a great system with a lot of users and integration all over the world. As for me, I want to build a payment-processing system based on the Medusa Project.
6 ) What is your personal message to the Cardano community?
Stay tuned! Have patience
