We are excited to report the successful completion of Episode 2 of our Blockchain Education Masterclass Meetup Series 2026, held a day ago after a successful completion of Episode 1 about a month ago (Blockchain Education Masterclass Meetup Series 2026: Episode 1).
The session took place at our local CTEIL Hub in Nalerigu on the 22nd of April, 2026 where returning health students gathered once again to deepen their understanding of blockchain technology. Building on the foundation laid in the first masterclass, participants received a comprehensive refresher on key Cardano fundamentals, including an introduction to the Cardano ecosystem, its real-world use cases in healthcare, and native Cardano wallets.
Key Highlights from Episode 2
The session then advanced into practical Web3 education, focusing on how to confidently interact with Cardano’s decentralized applications (dApps) using the native Yoroi wallet.
Participants actively explored the following essential skills:

Sending and receiving ADA tokens using Yoroi

The need for best practises in safeguarding ones assets and wallet

Staking ADA by delegating to a stake pool operator

Using the staking rewards calculator to estimate potential returns

Swapping Cardano tokens for other native assets on leading DEXs (SundaeSwap, Mueliswap and Minswap)

Navigating the Catalyst voting registration process
The meetup was both intensive and highly impactful. Participants expressed genuine appreciation for gaining hands-on knowledge of crypto wallets—not merely as storage tools, but as powerful gateways to the broader Web3 ecosystem. The excitement was palpable as students discovered how easily they could engage with decentralized finance, governance, and blockchain-powered healthcare solutions directly from their wallets.
As the facilitator, I was truly delighted by the positive feedback and enthusiastic engagement. Many participants requested even more frequent sessions, with some suggesting we make them weekly. We have assured them that this educational series will continue regularly, with more episodes planned in the coming weeks.
This grassroots initiative continues to demonstrate the power of hands-on education and community curiosity in driving meaningful blockchain adoption across Africa.
