Who cares ? Never understood why does it matter for most of the people whose main need for privacy is in domain of porn-hub surfing

People have been eccited about brave but you only can use the token to teward content creators. Its kind of restrictiv. And they also keep track to reward visited sites.
Its just giving the data to a different company.
Although they might respect the data more then our"Big Brother".

I don’t use BAT, but I use Brave because I think it’s a pretty good browser. It uses Anonize protocol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yFxYzCZBkqU, a zero knowledge based voting system. No one can correlate browsing page views with contributions.

because it’s more than porn habits, it can be issues related to health, like would you like people to know you’re HIV positive, or perhaps you don’t want people to know you have some other serious condition, or perhaps you live with an abusive partner that keeps spying on your online activity, or you live in a country with a brutal dictatorial regime (like hundreds of millions of people do) and you need to send remittances (like the rest of the world) but i’s illegal in your country… endless reasons for privacy.

I am looking from US point of view , where under umbrella of privacy the whole “privacy guardian” ecosystem evolved , whose main purpose is profit making on human stupidity. But I guess in society where you can get jumbo mortgage with phone number and DOB privacy really matters.
Alternative is developing Richard Stallman’s privacy paranoia :joy:

well, also being in the US, looking at how polarizing our politics are becoming it’s very important.
There’s also plenty of abusive husbands/wives/parents in the US, extreme right advocates (racists, neo-nazis), overly religious people that can ostracize others for being curiouss on other philosophical alernatives.

There’s LGBT people, there’s HIV positive people here, …

And yes, there’s a ton of identity theft going on right here.

Privacy is a human right for many reasons and we should never take that right for granted.

Hello everyone. Brave browser and brave rewards program uses only Gemini and Uphold as wallets that can be verified. But they have limitations to particular regions/countries that are allowed to use the brave reward program. I am from Bulgaria for instance and I cannot use it, even though I have Gemini account. So I wonder if it is possible to work in the direction for brave browser to adopt wallets and platforms from Cardano ecosystem and probably include other countries, or whole continents in their reward program. Or… even better for people from the Cardano community to start an endeavour of creating a browser solely using Cardano based wallets and DAOs. I am eager to see what do you think everyone ?
