Thank you .

Hi! I have a couple of practical questions
Will there be, and when cryptocurrencies such as BTC,ETH are added to Daedalus and are there any plans to issue a card (master, visa)

I have seen a lot of good questions for the 2nd year AMA here, and I assume that I only get one vote. When is that vote due by in order to be counted?
My AMA question is; When will I be able to buy ADA directly from PayPal, a Bank/Credit Union Account, or Credit card, and can such transactions be made anonymous and thus not subject to Tax?
It should be noted that the Federal Income Tax pertaining to the “Union of States” known as the United States of America was created in 1862 during the Civil War and was to tax only Government Privileged Income. ( www.losthorizons.com ). The idea was that Profits and Income derived from Government Privilege should be made transparent and Taxed. Wages and work from other sources that are not Government privileged were not subject to Income Tax, then, nor are they today, yet many people pay an Income Tax who are not subject to it. The world Bankers turned the “Union of States” and the knowledge of the purpose of the Federal Income Tax on it’s head in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve System. From that point forward Private Bankers controlled the money supply for their own benefit as they created and capitalized on both World Wars.
We should also note that the "United States Dollar " was defined by the “Coinage Act” of (about 1892) as a specific weight of Silver, and that all U.S. coins contained the correct amount of Silver thru 1964. By August 15, 1971, Federal Reverse Notes had completely replaced the “United States Dollar” and the World Bankers could create money without limits.
Will Cardano be able to make Federal Reserve Notes a thing of the past, and free humanity from the grip of these elitist World Bankers?

We know that people want privacy and that in order for a crypto to be an actual currency, it’ll have to be private, otherwise we’ll be feeding into mass surveillance and data conglomerates.
So why isn’t privacy an immediate concern for Cardano? Why do we not have settlement layer privacy for payments as a priority?

With the 2nd Anniversary of Cardano, it seems like this is a wonderful time to talk about the first cohort of Haskell devs in Etheopia/Uganda.
Q: Can you give us an update on those folks and where their efforts have been focused?

Future of Daedalus. Is the interoperability allow user to write smart contracts to any blockchain using Daedalus?

Are there any plans to one day support mesh networks for sending transactions, so people can still transact in areas with poor internet connectivity? I.e similar functionality to the Bridgefy app that protesters are using to send messages in Hong Kong https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-49565587 but instead for transacting, where two parties would simply need to agree on an ADA transaction that takes place using bluetooth, which is then later confirmed on the blockchain via a mesh network.

Blockchain is setup to store information forever. And storage capacity becomes cheaper and cheaper. But fromvhistory point of view how much data should be kept forever? Why there is option available to clear a contract (information record without data) or to remove a contract (for example after a certain period or on command)

Because the success of Cardano will be highly correlated to its lack of bug when releasing new updates on the mainnet, what testing strategy did you established to achieve this goal ? How do you ensure that all use cases are covered ? Like for example all types of clients, wallets, transactions. Since your product is growing strong in terms of features, do you use automation tools like RobotFramework, Cypress, JMeter, Postman for your non-regression testing ? Do you plan to have a continuous system integration chain on your networking testnet environment ? Thanks.

The European Union is building a European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI). https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/blockchain-technologies Is Atala and Cardano technology being considered by the EU or are you offering them assistance?

Although getting an AMA question in is the price on its own, I think rewarding in the equivalent Ada in stead of Dollars would be better.

When wanting to update Daedalus one must go to a centrally managed website to get the updated software (currently https://daedaluswallet.io/#download). In one of his AMA’s Charles talked about voting. When updating Cardano we could all vote on the best idea’s from all joining members and the Ada’s are awarded to the winners. But how do we know that the additional software is authorized by the voting community? The recent software is signed by Input Output HK Limited and DigiCert. Currently it is no problem, but those signing keys are held by a central company. How will that work in the decentralized era?

QUESTION: Is it possible that the new software, created by the voted winners, is decentrally signed by a similar system as the voting system? And is it possible that there is an option within Daedalus that will check for a correct signed file before Daedalus is updated when you manually select the update file (which was downloaded manually)? It would even be nicer when Daedalus would check for updates automatically. This technique then could also be implemented in other software like the staking server software. Decentralized distribution could be done e.g. with a torrent file or InterPlanetary File System.

What question would ask Charles to the CEO of IOHK ?

Question that was previously asked:
Why is it that no one realized the code was bad sooner than later?

In the spring of 2018 Charles assured everyone that Cardano would be better than Bitcoin and Ethereum within a year. By the summer of 2018, it becomes clear there are problems, but from there we begin a series of what look like disingenuous projections for certain stages of the project to be complete.

By late 2018 we begin to learn that much of the legacy code, which we assume was completed over the course of 2017-18 and based upon the research of 2015+ was
 garbage.

Why did it take so long to recognize this? Why was it bad? What was done poorly?

Any generic answer from someone not on the team or who can’t speak directly to the implementation is suspect, but the question does require someone to translate the technical roadblocks for a mainstream audience.

The claim behind this project all along was that Cardano was built on years of careful research by experts in the field of cryptography and experts in the chosen languages all buttressed by Charles’s real-world experience of helping build Ethereum, and yet it would seem that even as late as the spring of 2018, and even then the fall, projections were wildly overstated and the state of the code poorly understood by its creators.

Why was that? It was suggested just after the Miami event that this had to do with putting engineers in charge of project management, essentially, but is that really it?

Boiled down: Can anyone explain what changed between, say, January of 2018 and today in terms of the structure of the code, and why was so much of the legacy work faulty?

It’s a big ask to put this into language that doesn’t require expertise in coding, cryptography, or Haskell, but that’s the question.

The super strength of CARDANO, product of the ability to connect between individuals and the fact that its foundation is a brain programmed not to be determined; in addition, that its evolution may be through instinctive mechanisms. Doesn’t it scare you?

Regards to all from Dominican Republic.

2- - Juan sends Pedro $ 5.00 to Pedro = BITCOIN.

  • Juan sends $ 5.00 to Pedro if and only if Pedro cuts the lawn = CARDANO.
  • Juan tells CARDANO that he has US $ 5.00 to cut his lawn CARDANO designates Carlos because Pedro had already cut enough = CARDANO MATRIZ.
Is it possible that CARDANO ceases to function only as a means and notary, and becomes a principal actor without being decentralized, for a fairer world?

Regards to all from DOMINICAN REPUBLIC.

On the CF page there is such Charles’ statement : "We deployed a rigorously built protocol for Byron, but one that does not enjoy a formal specification. There is always the chance we did something wrong, as with all software projects. There is always the chance we haven’t followed the intent of the scientists, despite our best engineering efforts. "
Personally, I find it satisfying and comprehensive on the subject. But I came across it by chance quite recently and didn’t hear that way before.
Question: Is this summary still valid today ? And maybe it is worth recalling it more widely for the final conclusion of that period ?
