Summary :
On the first day, we covered these topics during TFT Class :

  • Session 1 : Introduction Project Catalyst and Our Funded Project
  • Session 2 : Introduction to TFT Program and Cardano Course CBCA Learning Platform
  • Session 3 : General blockchain-bitcoin concept

In the beginning we introduced governance on Cardano and also presented our project, which successfully secured funding in the Fund-13 Ecosystem category.

Our project has three missions:

  • Holding a TFT (Train for The Trainers) program
  • Host a Comprehensive Cardano Developer workshop for students
  • Organizing a Mini-Hackathon for workshop participants

The aim of the TFT program is to transfer knowledge and educate lecturers in technology faculties about Cardano. It is hoped that the lecturers will then pass on this education to their students. Additionally, several lecturers have been selected to contribute to the Workshop and Mini-Hackathon as mentors and judges.

On this first day, there was not much discussion of learning material or practice; it consisted mainly of a brief overview of blockchain concepts. The functioning of the TFT program and educational platforms, such as the Cardano Course CBCA from Cardano Academy, Plutus Project-Based Learning, and Mesh Project-Based Learning from Gimbalabs, were also introduced. Essentially, the TFT program features a learning system in which lecturers engage in independent study outside of class using the Cardano Course CBCA, PPBL, and MPBL references, followed by discussions and practice during the TFT class.

During the first session, the participants introduced themselves and shared their opinions about crypto and blockchain. Most participants were skeptical about crypto and blockchain initially, as this industry is often associated with trading and speculation. Consequently, they were not familiar with the real use cases of blockchain.

However, after Valdryan Ivandito explained one of the real use cases such as Project Catalyst (Governance) and its voting system the participants became more interested to learn more about blockchain, particularly Cardano. I am excited to share and educate the lecturers of Maranatha Christian University on the first day of the TFT program class.

Regard,
@Valdryan_Ivandito
