Summary :
On the second day, we covered these topics during TFT Class :
- Topic-1 : Introduction to Cardano
- Topic-2 : Practical Session how to setup and use Cardano Wallet such as Eternl
- Topic-3 : Practical Session how to build transaction
- Topic-4 : Practical Session how to use Cardano Explorer such as Cardanoscan
- Topic-5 : UTxO-EUTxO concept
- Topic-6 : Practical Session how to setup cardano-node and workspace on Demeter
- Topic-7 : Practical Session how to generate wallet address using cardano-cli
On the second day of the TFT Class, there were many practical sessions. We began by introducing the third-generation blockchain and the founding entities, such as IOG, the Cardano Foundation, and EMURGO. Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, is a leader with a significant vision for the platform. Therefore, participants were first given a brief explanation of the history behind the creation of Cardano, particularly its aim to solve the trilemma problem.
Next, we started the practical session focused on the Cardano Wallet. Participants learned how to install and set up the Eternl wallet and then connect to the Pre-production Testnet to receive tADA from the faucet. After receiving their tADA, they practiced building transactions with one another. Even though this practical session involved basic person-to-person transactions, participants were very excited, as it was a new experience for them. They were pleasantly surprised to see the real-time tracking of transactions on Cardanoscan, allowing them to experience the concept of transparency in a public, permissionless blockchain firsthand.
After exploring transactions on Cardano, we continued by learning some fundamental concepts about the UTxO transaction model, after which participants analyzed the UTxO on Cardanoscan. In the final practical session, we explored the cloud environment services provided by Demeter. Thanks to the TxPipe team for their great contribution in building these tools, as Demeter greatly facilitates development on Cardano. We explored and learned how to set up the cardano-node and workspace, and then we interacted with the cardano-node using cardano-cli. The second day of the TFT Class was very exciting; participants learned new things about Cardano and gained firsthand experience as users.
