Good News: Series 5 & 6 Are Finally Completed!
The Cardano From Other POV book series continues to grow.
After successfully publishing Series 1 to 4, we have now completed Series 5 and Series 6.
Series 5 is titled “NFT – Like a Land Certificate” and Series 6 is titled “Smart Contracts – Like a Notary Agreement.”
With these two additions, the Cardano From Other POV series now has 6 completed series in Indonesian, with 3 of them already translated into English.
Our target remains 12 series completed by the end of this year.
What Is Discussed in Series 5 & 6?
Series 5: NFT – Like a Land Certificate
This series breaks down NFTs from their core. It explains that NFTs are not just “expensive pictures” but are actually digital ownership certificates. The analogy of a land certificate from Indonesia’s National Land Agency helps readers understand NFTs easily.
Series 6: Smart Contracts – Like a Notary Agreement
This series explains smart contracts using the analogy of a notary agreement that is familiar in Indonesian culture. It covers what smart contracts are, how they work on Cardano, and why Cardano’s approach with formal verification and predictable fees is unique.
The Surabaya Women’s Mini Forum: Learning Cardano Together
Since the early launch of the Cardano From Other POV series, these books have been used as the primary learning medium in a women’s mini forum in Surabaya, East Java.
The forum consists of women from various backgrounds, including beginners, long-time stakers, and crypto enthusiasts. They meet twice a month in a casual setting, sometimes at a café or online. The atmosphere is supportive and judgment-free.
How do they use the book?
Before each meeting, participants read one chapter or series. During the meeting, they discuss what they understood and what was still confusing. They use the analogies in the book to explain Cardano to each other. Senior members help beginners who are still struggling with basic concepts.
More Than Just Cardano: Discussing Opportunities for Women to Grow
This mini forum in Surabaya is not only about Cardano.
In every meeting, they also dedicate time to discuss broader topics about women’s development. They talk about career opportunities in blockchain, including roles like marketing, community management, education, and design that don’t always require coding skills.
They also discuss the challenges faced by women in crypto, such as feeling intimidated by male-dominated spaces or struggling to balance family responsibilities with learning new skills.
Another important topic is how to build confidence. Members share personal stories of their struggles and successes, encouraging each other to keep going. They talk about building a support system and creating safe spaces for women to learn without judgment.
They also discuss financial independence through crypto, including topics like staking, investing wisely, and understanding risks.
What makes this forum special?
The forum believes that technical knowledge alone is not enough. Women also need confidence, a support system, realistic opportunities, and a safe space to ask “stupid questions” without being judged.
One participant said, “We don’t just learn Cardano. We learn how to grow together as women.”
Why Surabaya?
Surabaya is the second-largest city in Indonesia, with a growing tech and crypto community. However, like many other places, the blockchain space in Surabaya is still largely male-dominated.
This women’s mini forum was born from a simple observation: many women are interested in crypto, but they don’t know where to start. They feel intimidated. They don’t want to ask basic questions in mixed groups dominated by men.
So they created their own space. Twice a month, they gather. Sometimes at a café. Sometimes online. Sometimes at a member’s house. They drink coffee, discuss Cardano, share life stories, and encourage each other.
What They Say About the Book
Here are some testimonials from forum participants.
Dhea from Surabaya said, “Before reading this book, I thought NFT was just an expensive picture. After reading Series 5, I finally understand it’s like a land certificate. The analogy is so clear.”
Eva from Batu Licin said, “Smart contracts always sounded scary. But the notary agreement analogy in Series 6 made everything click. Now I understand why Cardano is different.”
Zeni from Sidoarjo said, “I love that this book uses Indonesian analogies. It doesn’t feel like a foreign book translated badly. It feels like it was written for us.”
The forum coordinator added, “We use this book as our main textbook. Every meeting, we discuss one series. It’s perfect for our twice-a-month format.”
The Impact So Far
The impact of this forum has been significant. More women in Surabaya now understand Cardano basics like staking, governance, NFTs, and smart contracts.
Participants feel braver to ask questions and share opinions. The forum started with only three people and now has regular attendees. Some participants have even started staking, delegating to DReps, and creating their first NFTs.
What’s Next?
The Surabaya women’s mini forum will continue its twice-a-month meetings, using the Cardano From Other POV series as their learning companion.
For the book series itself, the target is to complete all 12 series by the end of 2026, in both Indonesian and English.
A Message to Other Women in Cardano
If women in Surabaya can do it, so can you.
You don’t need to be a programmer. You don’t need to understand everything at once. You don’t need to be in a big city.
What you need is curiosity, the courage to ask questions even if they feel silly, and a community of people who support you.
Start small. Find one or two friends. Read one series. Discuss it over coffee.
That’s how the Surabaya forum started. And now they are growing.
Closing
The completion of Series 5 and 6 is not just a milestone for the Cardano From Other POV book series. It is also a milestone for the Surabaya women’s mini forum.
This group of women proves that Cardano is for everyone. Not just developers. Not just men. Not just people in Western countries.
Cardano is for those willing to learn and grow.
And in Surabaya, women are doing exactly that.
Cardano for those willing to learn and grow.
