Catalyst Africa Townhall β€” Community, Governance & Cardano in Action

Today we hosted the Catalyst Africa Townhall in-person, bringing together students, entrepreneurs, builders, and innovation enthusiasts from across the region.

The session was a great opportunity to share key ecosystem updates, revisit the fundamentals of Cardano technology, explore governance under the Voltaire era, and help participants better understand how to get involved in the ecosystem.

Highlights from the event:

  • Boaz moderated the session, ensuring smooth coordination and opening with a clear introduction to the purpose of the Catalyst Africa Townhall.

  • I led deep discussions on Cardano, governance, and ecosystem updates, guiding attendees through the opportunities and inner workings of the network.

  • Olivier mwatsimulamo presented Cardano resources and DApps, helping newcomers understand where to start their journey in the ecosystem.

  • We also welcomed a Cardano Ambassador (joining online), Dan Baruka introduced participants to the Cardano Academy and the various learning paths available to strengthen skills and knowledge.

Events like this reinforce the importance of education, governance participation, and local community engagement in shaping the future of Cardano in Africa.

Grateful to everyone who joined and contributed. More to come.

It was truly a very valuable event, and I especially appreciated your intervention, which helped clarify Cardano for the participants.

I also had the pleasure of speaking about Cardano resources and DApps, helping newcomers understand where to begin their journey in the ecosystem.

This is how we build a Cardano with a very strong ecosystem.

Amazing Event..Let together building cardano Ecosytem

It was a true honor to moderate this session and witness the growing energy within the Goma Hub. Seeing students and entrepreneurs engage so deeply with Cardano’s governance and the Voltaire era reinforces my belief that Africa is not just adopting Web3, but leading it. Great synergy with my colleagues Olivier, Dan, and the whole team. The future of decentralized innovation in the DRC is bright! :rocket:
