Hey there, beautiful soul!
Here we go! Fund13 proposal submissions are now open for all of your amazing ideas waiting to be turned into actionable proposals. Make sure to get all the high-level details from the latest Fund13 launch guide.
Keep in mind, there are two key initial deadlines ahead of us for submitting proposals:
- General Categories: Oct 10 (11AM UTC)
- Partners Categories: Nov 7 (end of day UTC)
So what is new this week? Well - Fund13 officially launched the latest season with town hall #176 with more than 100 live participants directly on call. The Catalyst team presented all the key details on the next steps, provided a refresher on the information about categories, and shared ecosystem roles breakdown. We also heard an inspiring reflection from the first-time fund recipient Rahul and his team in the Partners category from Fund12 and their role in working with the Indian government to bring forensics and blockchain worlds together.
We also had great guests from Ben O’Hanlon, Director of Community & Developer Relations at Input Output - and Jack Briggs , Director of Ecosystem at Intersect, who both shared their impressions and words of encouragement to the ecosystem participants as Fund13 is taking off.
The big news in Fund13? Voting power threshold has now dropped down to 25 ada only. Lowering it by about 95% of the original value to date (450 ada). More on it further below.
For everything else, let’s dive in!

Cardano 360 Update
Catalyst Team took an opportunity to present the latest updates in the September edition of Essential Cardano360 episode. Make sure you catch the segment about Catalyst here.
Voting power threshold lowered by 95%
Have you caught this fundamental change in the parameters for Catalyst? The program has historically made several adjustments to the voting power threshold, pushing the limits of the technical stack at the time to its limit. Over the recent months, the technological readiness has reached the level that has allowed safe adjustment for this parameter to be pushed down dramatically to its new limits.
Big thing? In Fund13 - you only need 25 ada to be able to register to vote. That’s about 95% reduction against the legacy value required of 450 ada.
Keep an eye when the registrations open and your favorite wallet that has integrated Catalyst registration standards updates their interface to account for this change. The team is working diligently with respective wallets and work is progressing well.
