I am sure Ramsey did not even imagine that heâll be quoted in connection to crypto currencies.
Taken literally, this quote points to how crypto currencies in general allow us more direct control of our money.
We can also see it pointing to how financial services these day have more control over their clientsâ accounts than the clients themselves. In political turmoil, governments can force financial services to freeze accounts or impose arbitrary withdrawal limits. Additionally, the KYC and AML requirements that have been forced upon the financial services by governments makes the financial industry see their clients as potential crime suspects with every transaction. Again, I am sure Ramsey did not intend to apply his quote this way.

This applies to all block chain, not just cardano. It is the concensus of the people of what is valuable that makes something money. Be it coins, paper, beads or crypto. It should not be up to 20men in government to decide the worth and use case of my beads.

When I read the phrase, it comes to my mind that to reach a certain point we have to fight, it happens in revolutions, in judgments, in sports, âto achieve freedomâ in my point of view is an objective in this case people free of something that they had no other choice, creating an account in the bank to receive their salary is as mandatory as military enlistment a few years ago. The goal does not necessarily have to be freedom, it can be an objective, a bet or a prize; Our society has advanced in history âconquering its freedomâ to improve its conditions. Cardano can be in this context of the phrase our âfreedomâ to invest where we want, control our money, our data, a virtual revolution that in my opinion is at the height of the industrial revolution. Imagine if they had not fought for better wages and better conditions in other times, now we would be working with the conditions we have today?
Thatâs why for me the blockchain is the revolution, in 20 years I hope to look back and have the same blockchain perspective of its importance in history to conquer the freedom of people, like other great revolutions in our history. Maybe if Cardano did not exist, in the next 20 years everything would be controlled by central data banks, we would see companies like Google, Facebook control all our information with a âmanufacturedâ permit and banks like Santander, HSBC, JP Morgan would control if we should not give us the luxury of living in a house, because maybe if we do not pay the fees imposed by some of those who are above, the shares of the bank go to hell.
Unfortunately, freedom is not given, it is earned and we have learned it throughout history, Cardano is a project that fights for the freedom of the world, that is why the Cardano project is the most important revolution of the century. Only the crazy have courage to fight for lost causes, the good thing about this story is that they are the crazy people that change the world.
