On August 3rd, 2024, DRMZ Web3 & GOAT TRIBE co-hosted a spirited “Crypto Pub Crawl” in Ocean Beach, San Diego, that turned into an unforgettable day of networking, learning, and celebration of the blockchain. Starting at OB Brewery and concluding at Pizza Port, this event provided a unique blend of fun and education, set against the backdrop of San Diego’s vibrant brewery scene.
The crawl kicked off at OB Brewery, where participants were welcomed with an hour of mingling. This setting provided a relaxed atmosphere for attendees to connect with like-minded individuals, sparking conversations around crypto, NFTs, and the potential of the blockchain technology.
The first two stops, including Kilowatt Brewing, were also the venues for our fun giveaways, which included Goat Tribe NFTs, DRMZ T-shirts, and assorted blockchain-themed goodies. These locations were equipped with live streaming setups, enabling virtual participation from the Twitter world, thus expanding our reach beyond just the physical attendees.
Each location offered a distinct experience but shared a common theme—introducing the fundamentals of crypto and blockchain to a new audience. We onboarded new wallets, welcomed new delegators, and celebrated as attendees acquired their first NFTs. These activities not only provided practical insights into the use of blockchain technology but also empowered new users to actively participate in the Cardano ecosystem.
The event was not just about fun and games; it served as a powerful platform for fostering deeper discussions about web3 and the state of Cardano. We seized the opportunity to promote our upcoming workshop on September 7th, focused on the Cardano Constitution, highlighting the importance of community involvement in decentralized governance.
