Daedalus requires a public IP address to work?

I’d some problems initially with Daedalus connecting to the network. Tried everything in the FAQ to no avail, which led me to think it might be due to my ISP implementing a carrier-grade NAT (which means I don’t get assigned a ‘public’ IP address).

Daedalus only worked after I ran a VPN session.

Can anyone confirm? Or perhaps I am missing something.

Your ISP could be filtering traffic.

Daedalus does not require a routable IP. NAT looks the same whether it happens at the provider or at your end.
