I chose a pool, etc and now it asks via ledger for my registry staking key. Is this OK to confirm. Using avphone for info to use laptop as fast and fresh isn’t easy.

Yes, its ok to confirm on Ledger. Here is a good post about how to choose a pool wisely
You could also enter the pool id in this calculator and see if you agree with what comes up. The calculator will unfortunately not be able to show potential extra payouts that a pool operator may make.
