Node version 8.10.0-pre Is Live On Sanchonet
For our SPO Community, please note that node version 8.10.0-pre is live on SanchoNet. This release includes the latest governance changes, support for Plutus v3’s new cost model and byte string primitives, and updates related to the Constitution Committee quorum and economic parameters. Additionally, reference scripts in the Conway era are now supported. It is important to note, that this node version should only be used on SanchoNet. SanchoNet was respun over the weekend but is now operational. Due to the respin DReps and SPOs have to reregister to be able to participate again. If you’re not already on SanchoNet, now is the time to familiarize yourself with Cardano governance. The full release notes can be found here.
Frederik Gregaard On The potential Of Blockchain Technology
A recent post from Frederik Gregaard discusses the broader significance of blockchain technology beyond the hype of events like the Bitcoin halving. Gregaard emphasizes how blockchain has transformative potential akin to major technological shifts in history. He points out that while blockchain’s impact may not be immediately apparent due to its foundational nature, it has the potential to revolutionize various industries.
Within the Cardano ecosystem, Gregaard identifies five technological enablers crucial for realizing blockchain’s potential:

This week, we’re proud to once again present a new Ambassador Stories. This time we bring you the story of Ha Nguyen.
Ha, a Vietnamese Meetup Organizer, joins the Ambassador ranks, bringing extensive experience managing three Cardano Facebook groups with over 50,000 members. Certified by EMURGO and Cardano Academy, Ha has organized impactful Cardano and Catalyst PR activities in Vietnam and Japan. She also leads ProSkills39, a platform connecting blockchain and IT talents with project opportunities. Eager to contribute, Ha aims to foster growth and engagement in the Cardano community.
